Methodist Mission School Colloquium “Raising The Mission School Ethos”

Organized by the Council of Education, this colloquium was targeted at the School Boards, Principals and Senior Teachers, and Alumni of the Methodist Government-assisted Mission Schools at two different locations: in Ipoh and the northern region, and in Kuala Lumpur and the central and southern region.

 Date: Saturday, 13th August 2016 

Time: 8.30 am – 2.00 pm  


The purpose of having this Colloquium is to create a platform for our Mission School Boards, Head Teachers and the Methodist Education Council to discuss current issues regarding our Mission Schools and to enable the various stakeholders to help raise an ethos of excellence in the school. Forum Panellists were invited to speak from the perspective of the School Board of Governors, the School Principal and the Council of Education. Issues like Government Fund Allocations, Building Projects, Appointment of Heads and Succession Planning, effectiveness of the School Boards, Dual Language Program, etc. were deliberated.

Not to forget Methodist School Pengetua and Guru Besar who have retired from our schools from 2011-2016, an appreciation of their service was acknowledged.
