Press Statement

We are fully aware of the unwarranted action of some people to an anonymous SMS concerning the alleged mass conversion of Muslims to Catholicism in the Church of Our Lady of Lourdes, Jalan Silibin in Ipoh. In fact, the Church was conducting the first holy communion for 110 Catholic children. We praise and thank the Perak Police for the timely and swift action in thwarting any untoward incident.

The CFM fully supports the actions taken by the Perak Police, especially the investigation to uncover the malicious intent of the culprit(s) to disrupt harmony between the different religions and ethnic communities in Malaysia.
