March 2007-Methodist Prayer Convention 2007

Monthly Prayer.
About twenty people came together at the Hokkien Chinese Methodist Church on Sunday 25 February to start off the monthly prayer for the MPC in August. Given the short notice and being the Chinese New Year week it was encouraging to have members from TAC, TRAC and CAC there. Bishop Hwa Yung led in a time of worship and then prayer for the various aspects of the Convention.

Bishop Hwa Yung shared briefly about two historical revivals, the first of which was the very one from which the Methodist movement started in England. The second was one in our own country in East Malaysia among the churches of the SIB in the 1970’s. In both events the Spirit of God came upon those who had gathered to pray with fervour and desire for God.

There was a sense of unity and expectation as the gathering prayed together in one group and in smaller groups of threes and fours. Many matters were committed to God, big and small, the speakers and workshop leaders, the transportation and the microphones. But above all that God will prepare everyone to have a fresh encounter of His presence and blessings.

From March this prayer meeting will be on the third Sunday of the month from 7.30 – 9.30 pm at the KL Hokkien Chinese Methodist Church, Lorong Hang Jebat. All church members, intercessors and prayer coordinators are welcome to fill the hall and with one voice pray for the Convention.
