April 2006 - United In Prayers:

TAC PRAYER CONFERENCE

(And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests - Eph. 6:18)

Prayer is an integral part of Christian living and Ministry. We are called to be people of prayers. Our Lord Jesus himself set the pace. We see him at all times in prayers to strengthen and succeed in his ministry.

The Tamil Annual Conference in the year 2005 embarked on an ambitious 10 year project "Absolutely Double" to double the Conference membership by the year 2015. The growth was to be achieved by reading, meditating God's Word and by prayers.

Thus the TAC Conference recruited 500 prayer partners from all TAC Churches. From the 16th of March 2006 to the 18th of March 2006 a Prayer Conference was held at Goldcourse Hotel Klang for the prayer partners. Although the anticipated attendance was only 300, but God in His own wisdom blessed the Prayer Conference and the TAC with a record 400 participants!

All participants were challenged by various speakers, (among them the Bishop of the Methodist Church in Malaysia Bishop Hwa Yung, the TAC President Rev. Tevaraji) to be prayer partners for their own churches and the Methodist Church at large.

3 Bible study sessions centering on prayers were conducted by Rev N. Gnanaraja from India. Four workshops (What Happens When The Church Prays - Speaker Rev Vinsant Rayar; Prayers That Move Mountains - Speaker Rev. John D. Herbert; The Gifts of the Holy Spirit - Speaker Rev. N. Gnanaraja; Inner Healing - Speakers Dr & Mrs Vincent Vasudevan) were well participated by the members. All the sessions were very informative and beneficial to the participants.

The highlight of the Prayer Conference was two inspiring messages given by inspirational speaker Rev. Raymond Mooi of the School of Acts. During the time of ministering, a number of people were healed of their sicknesses. Those people who came forward were also prayed for.

The Prayer Conference was a huge success. Participants were moved to be prayer partners for the Kingdom of God.

"May the spirit of PRAYER continue to spread like fire in heart of all the believers in our churches".
