Education Carnival 2006

The MYAF Perak District (TAC) held an Education Carnival at TMC Tamil Settlement on 11th March 2006. This was officially declared opened in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit by Rev. Dr. A.E. Joseph. Although the DS, Rev. Laurence could not be present, his message was delivered through a video presentation.

This one day carnival started off with Mr. K. Balasubramaniam’s motivational talk on “Success Is Your Choice”. After the tea break students were divided into primary and secondary level, with parents having their own sessions too. Topics that were covered included: Goal Setting, Scope of Studies, Techniques of Learning, Problem Solving, Decision Making, Time Management, and Techniques of Answering Questions.

For the parents, topics on Education Investment, The Role of Parents, Handling and Disciplining Children and Youths, Educational Opportunities and Skill Training Opportunities were conducted by Yayasan Strategik Sosial. Parents were reminded afresh of their duty, to see their child as an asset and that they can make a difference in their lives.
